sci-fi and fantasy

Sci-fi can encourage a materialistic worldview whereas fantasy can encourage a greater awareness of the spiritual world because it's true. Yeah, some sci-fi horror stuff purports to deal with the supernatural, but it does it all through technobabble about other dimensions and superstring theory. In other words, it essentially says, "It can all be explained scientifically." Fantasy says, "There are supernatural worlds out there that we'll never understand by reason alone."
