a thousand thyroids of light

This is discouraging.

Surfing a little tonight, I found a blog by a former thyroid cancer patient. She paints a fairly bleak picture of what the next four weeks are going to be like.

Geez, I've lost some weight since my surgery, partly because I've changed my diet for the better, but also partly because of the thyroid hormone I've been on. I don't want to gain it back.

And I don't want to feel like crap for four weeks.

Wow... interesting blogs. First good luck with the cancer treatment and I hope you will continue to feel better and better. Second I admire your faith. I do not share it, but I always have admired people who have a handle on their belief and relationship with god.

Thanks on all three points. I try to keep the blogs interesting, I try to keep from being pushy or obnoxious about my faith, and I'm not too worried about the cancer. In about five or six weeks, it'll be pretty much wiped out. (Unfortunately, I'm going to be a slug for most of the time until then.)

Nice picture mosaic, btw. Very artistic.
