It appears that Albus Dumbledore may be on his way out.
Richard Harris, who played Dumbledore in "The Sorcerer's Stone" is not doing particularly well. Actor Michael Gambon, who serves as Harris' stand-in, already filled in for him in places in "Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets," is expected to replace him for the next two movies as well, if they are made.
Meanwhile, given the progression of the Hero's Journey, I keep expecting the book Dumbledore to die sometime soon as well. I suspect Voldemort is likely to be the culprit, rather than Hodgkins Disease, but one never knows.
